James Woledge specialises in the assessment of lower limb biomechanics and foot pain. He can prescribe and make Orthoses ranging in price from £40 for ‘in appointment moulded insoles’ to bespoke versions made off-site by a specialist orthotist company (£250).
He also specialises in Lower limb pain and foot pain and uses Ultrasound Imaging to assess injuries more accurately. Once he has made a diagnosis a treatment plan can be agreed upon that may involve corrective exercises, gait re-training, or orthotics.
Over 90% of orthotic prescriptions are in the £35-45 bracket and can often be custom made within your allotted appointment time. We use a range of soft insoles for Arthritis and Diabetes right through to rigid orthoses for specific biomechanical correction.

Wanted to give a huge shout out to Joe for the amazing job he did relieving my chronic lower back pain. I've had pain for about 6 years now and have tried everything to cure it and nothing worked or gave me relief. Joe was the only person who was able to diagnose the issue I was having and found a way to remedy the pain I was enduring and actually made my quality of life amazing again! I saw him for 2 years and in those two years, I got my life back being able to walk, bend, lift, stand, you name it. He also became a great acquaintance as he has great conversations (especially about fishing) but also listened and talked me through some hard times. He even helped me out with pain during my entire pregnancy as well! I was sad to move from the area and wish I could find another osteopath like Joe who's very knowledgeable in the field but also has great communication skills and FIXES issues rather than putting "band-aids" on. I underwent a course of shockwave therapy, with James, for Greater Trochanteric Pain Syndrome, in my left hip area. The treatment has relieved most of the pain that was affecting the knee, hip and groin areas. I would highly recommend this treatment for those with a similar problem.
